Fridge to Feast
Privacy policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Your kitchen choices should stay yours. This policy explains the information used when you visit Fridge to Feast and the choices you have.
1. What data we collect
- Recipe preferences: the ingredients, cooking time and dietary preferences you submit to create a recipe. These are sent to our recipe-generation service. Avoid including personal or sensitive information.
- Browser preferences: your light or dark theme choice and your analytics consent choice are stored locally on your device.
- Optional analytics: if you accept, Umami processes visit information such as pages viewed, referring websites, browser and device type, and approximate location. Umami describes its analytics as cookie-free and does not store visitors’ IP addresses.
- Form entries: our contact and newsletter forms currently validate information in your browser only. Entries are not sent or saved by those forms, even when a confirmation appears.
2. How we use information
We use your recipe preferences to generate meal ideas and your saved theme choice to display the site the way you prefer. When you accept analytics, we use visit statistics to understand which pages are useful and improve the website. Hosting services may process technical request information to deliver and protect the site.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use localStorage, rather than cookies, to remember your theme and consent choices. These preferences remain on your device until you change them or clear your browser’s site data. Umami analytics is optional and is not loaded until you select Accept.
Select Decline to keep analytics off. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings below or in the footer. Declining later stops future tracking; it does not remove visit information already sent.
4. Services that process information
The site uses Lovable hosting and recipe-generation services, including an AI provider, to process recipe requests. Umami Cloud receives analytics only with your permission. These providers may process information outside your country under their own terms and privacy practices. We do not sell your recipe preferences.
Read Umami’s privacy policy and Lovable’s privacy policy for more information about these services.
5. Your choices and retention
You can decline analytics, change your consent or remove locally saved preferences by clearing your browser’s site data. Recipe results stay in the current page session; we do not maintain a saved recipe history for you. Service providers may retain processing or security records under their own policies. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information.
6. Contact information
Fridge to Feast is the website covered by this policy. See our Contact page for the contact form. Please note that this form is not yet connected to a message-delivery service, and a dedicated privacy contact email has not yet been provided.
7. Policy updates
We will update this page when our data practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
